Mine & Yours (1025 Howe Street) is going full ’90s this Tuesday (July 19) by hosting the city’s first-ever “patch party”.
Capitalizing on the throwback trend that has seen graphic food-, logo-, and even emoji-inspired shapes adorning everything from denim jackets to tote bags to boyfriend jeans, the local shop will be offering free decorative patches to attendees who bring a friend and an old article of clothing.
Guests will then be able to iron the patches onto their clothing and accessory items onsite. A variety of fashion-forward patches will also be available for sale.
The luxury buy-and-sell shop’s cofounders hope that the patches will help shoppers upcycle old items from their wardrobe by giving them a DIY, on-trend look. Complimentary drinks, snacks, and mini makeovers will be provided.
Mine & Yours’s patch party takes place this Tuesday (July 9) from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. For more information about the event, click here.
